Fourways High School delivered a legendary performance against Beaulieu College on January 22nd, winning the match by a massive 118 runs. The standout performances of the day came from Seleka Tau, who hit 55 runs off just 35 balls in 2.2 overs and took 3 wickets for 7 runs, and Aidan Fish, who put in an excellent showing with 3 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs.
“It was a nice hit with the boys. I started the game with the bat and put on a decent score, but it couldn’t have been even better with that nice cameo with the team,” said Seleka Tau, responding about his performance during the game.
When asked about Seleka’s leadership qualities in the game, which are very important to have during such matches, he said, “As a captain, it’s important to lead from the front and set an example, and I felt like it was really important to do that during the game.”
On the other side, another standout performance was Aiden Fish’s. When asked about his performance, he said, “I am really happy with my performance, especially after the long December break. Last season I didn’t take many wickets, so it feels great to start the year strong. I hope to keep up the good performance and stay consistent throughout the season.” When asked what he was looking forward to in the next game, he said, “Honestly, I think my performance was pretty good, so for the next game, I will try very hard to keep the runs down.”
