Fourways High Saves Lives

On 23 January, Fourways High School, together with the wider Fourways community, came together to run a donation drive to support communities affected by severe flooding in Limpopo and Mpumalanga. The initiative focused on collecting much-needed food supplies for those impacted by the disaster.

The drive was coordinated by Melanie Delport, a Maths Literacy teacher at Fourways High School, and Siviwe Mji, Head of Service and a matric student. Hundreds of food items were donated, ranging from canned vegetables to canned fruit, which were then handed over to Jacaranda FM for distribution to the affected communities.

It was truly inspiring to see how quickly the Fourways community mobilised and united to provide aid. The generosity and care shown by students, staff, and families reflected the school’s strong spirit of service and compassion.
