The school’s main aim is to promote and provide education to its student body. However, behind the scenes, there are people who work hard to ensure the proper functioning and running of the school, such as the public relations and management department managed by Mrs Paula Agar and Mrs Jodi Selesnick.
Their titles dedicate certain roles for them, such as managing the school as a brand, however their amazing dedication and service towards the schools goes way beyond their titles.
Their main roles include handling both internal and external communications, managing the school’s social media pages, the website, and the running of events.
In an interview, Mrs Agar mentioned that one of their duties includes marketing the school to make it more attractive to potential students, as there are many other high school options in the area.
There are several events that are managed by this team, including the matric valediction, the Open Day, and the large derby days. Organizing setups and for our most recent rivalry derby day, they were excited to go seek out sponsorships as well as the chosen charity of SA Guide Dogs. Despite the hectic and non-rigid nature of their jobs, their love for it helps them manage these varied tasks.
