Since January 2026, our new debaters have been training diligently under the guidance of our coach, who has been dedicated to sharpening the skills of both seasoned veterans and talented newcomers.
Two Saturdays ago, Fourways High took on other schools at Jeppe Boys High, giving our newest team members the chance to put their skills to the test. The competitive environment proved no challenge for our junior legends, who rose to the occasion and showcased their exceptional abilities.
Fourways High was represented by two teams: Fourways High Blue and Fourways High Red. Both teams delivered strong performances—Fourways High Blue secured 1 out of 3 points for FHS, while Fourways High Red fought valiantly but lost all three rounds. Each school debated the same topics and had ample time to prepare and collaborate with teammates before each round.
Beyond the results, the experience was invaluable. Our debaters learned new techniques, honed their skills, and felt the thrill of a real competitive atmosphere—and they loved every moment of it.
