Public speaking remains a cornerstone of academic and personal development, challenging students to think critically, articulate their ideas with confidence and engage in thought-provoking discussions. This term, two Grade 11 teams took part in the highly anticipated public speaking competition at Randpark Ridge, tackling the complex and often polarizing theme of controversy.
Under the leadership of their respective chairpersons, Group A and Group B dedicated weeks to researching, drafting, and refining their speeches. Group A presented compelling arguments with confidence and clarity, earning an impressive B+, while Group B also delivered a strong performance, securing a B.
The competition served as a platform for students to explore conflict-ridden topics, challenge prevailing narratives and engage audiences with well-structured arguments. Their success highlights not only their dedication and preparation but also the growing impact of public speaking in fostering intellectual discourse within the school community.
Congratulations to both teams on their outstanding achievements!
