This year’s volleyball season was truly something special, filled with incredible participation, high-energy vibes, and an inspiring commitment to the sport. Across all age groups, players gave it their all, pushing limits and achieving some great results in the Goliath Cup.
The results showed how determined the teams were. The U19A team won a 3rd place finish, the U14 Girls A team placed 5th, while the U14 Girls B team took 7th in their category. The U19 Boys A team placed a strong 4th-place finish, and both the U16 Boys and U14 Boys A teams came in 7th in their categories. Although there were some tough games, each player’s effort made an unforgettable season.
Looking ahead, excitement is growing around the highly awaited squads for Mafikeng (the training camp done to help players improve their skills and match abilities) and the upcoming camp. Both players and coaches are eager to grow their skills further and represent the school. This next phase promises growth, camaraderie, and of course a whole lot of fun.
Mr. Lucioli, the teacher in charge of volleyball, told us all about how he felt about this season: “This was a fantastic year for volleyball. I’m incredibly proud of how the teams performed and the commitment they showed. Next season, I hope to see even more improvement and another incredible journey.”
For Shaila Karriem, one of the U16A girls’ players, this season was about more than just volleyball. “I absolutely loved playing this year,” she said. “I can’t wait to play in Mafikeng. It’s going to be such a great experience with my friends.”
With such a well season done and exciting opportunities coming up, volleyball is proving to be more than just a sport, it’s becoming a place of school pride and community.
