On the 5th of May 2026, Fourways High School’s Major Production of The Addams Family: The Musical was performed for grade 7 learners from Bryandale Primary School. The matinee performance welcomed the grade 7 to experience the show.
The grade 7 audience was very engaged throughout the show. They followed the performance closely and remained attentive from beginning to end. Teachers from Bryandale were also present and gave positive feedback on the production.
During the interval, Bryandale learners had the opportunity to interact with members of the cast. Many asked questions about what it is like to be part of Major Production, how to join, how long rehearsals take and which grades are involved. A number of learners showed interest in joining the production in future.
After the interval, the second half of the show continued, with the audience remaining focused and attentive. Once the performance concluded, further interaction took place between the cast and the grade 7s. One of the highlights was when the cast taught the grade 7s the opening dance, “When You’re and Addams”. Although some of the grade 7s were initially shy, the atmosphere became more relaxed and cheerful as they joined in and learnt the choreography.
